In this paper the first experimental results of a compact multiplexer for satellite high-power applications at Ku-band are shown. The multiplexer is based on ceramic-loaded combline resonators with a customized-shape. The geometries and the materials have been chosen in order to improve the performance in terms of power-handling and multipactor up to 75-150W continuous wave of the input RF power. Barrel-shaped metal cavities are combined with ceramic materials in order to minimize the volume occupation maintaining high unloaded Q-factor values (>4000). The CAD results of the high-power and environmental analyses are presented.

Abstract
In this paper the first experimental results of a compact multiplexer for satellite high-power applications at Ku-band are shown. The multiplexer is based on ceramic-loaded combline resonators with a customized-shape. The geometries and the materials have been chosen in order to improve the performance in terms of power-handling and multipactor up to 75-150W continuous wave of the input RF power. Barrel-shaped metal cavities are combined with ceramic materials in order to minimize the volume occupation maintaining high unloaded Q-factor values (>4000). The CAD results of the high-power and environmental analyses are presented.File in questo prodotto:
