Abstract

This paper deals with the numerical analysis of a commercial memory package intended for high-speed applications. The Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method is used for the electromagnetic characterization of the structure and for the parasitic extraction. The minimum propagation delay of the package as well as the effect of two grounded bus bars are investigated. Finally, the FDTD simulator is used to predict the package resonances.
