Philosophical categories such as remembrance, forgiveness, revenge, reparation are central to the debate concerning the plausibility of international criminal justice. On this background, this essay attempts to put focus about narrative identity, drawing connections among life and narration in Paul Ricoeur and “reparation” in Antoine Garapon. The goal is to re-discuss the relationship of justice with politics, to reopen a conversation with the anthropological field (debt and trust), to underline how remembering and exchanging memories are fundamental for a good justice and for a non narcissitic identity
