The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of equine amniotic membrane transplantation for ocular surface reconstruction. Amniotic membrane grafting is used as a pach to repair some cornel injuries in eight dogs and two cats. This is effective to promote corneal healing in patients with persistent epithelial defects. This tecnique is certainly preferable to conjunctival advancement, reducing corneal vascularisation limiting and limiting secondary corneal leucoma.
