Below we provide a mini-review of the symposium's content with a summary of all the speakers presentations, aiming to educate and inspire readers with the latest insights into the pathophysiology and treatment strategies, as well as the most important unresolved questions and unmet medical needs raised by all the presentations. The symposium started with a short history of the disease, followed by the patient representatives and clinical disease course and management. Then, an overview on the latest insights on the pathophysiologic mechanisms was given, ending with the latest therapeutic developments.
