Integrating photovoltaic (PV) systems into various transportation modes, including ships, buses, and trucks, offers a promising solution for reducing emissions and enhancing sustainability. This study explores the design and performance of PV panels when applied to different transportation vehicles under real-world conditions. A detailed investigation was conducted to determine the optimal design and circuit configuration for a PV system applied to an electrical quadricycle. The paper presents initial findings on the charging performance of PV systems during typical autumn-winter days when the quadricycles are usually stationary and in spring with the quadricycle moving. These measurements were used to develop a one-diode model for the PV panels used to charge the vehicle's battery. Abstract

Future research will expand this analysis to include various seasons and operational conditions to validate the model further and optimize the system performance.
