User expectations involve assumptions about system behavior influenced by prior experiences, interface design, and socio-cultural contexts, while user awareness reflects understanding of a system’s features, benefits, and risks. This study systematized methodologies for assessing these dimensions concerning interaction quality. Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, we conducted a systematic review of 88 studies, using qualitative and quantitative keyword analysis, multi-database searches, and defined inclusion/exclusion criteria. We identified approaches across quantitative, qualitative, mixed-method, and heuristic/ethnographic paradigms. Findings emphasize the need for a unified methodological protocol that integrates these indicators into the product development lifecycle to advance research and practice in user experience design.

Abstract
Findings emphasize the need for a unified methodological protocol that integrates these indicators into the product development lifecycle to advance research and practice in user experience design.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
