Two suitable mechanical models for moving large single degree of freedom industrial platforms are presented. The platform motion is generated by internal forces given by vibrodine or oscillating mass so that there is no need of expensive foundations. These models are useful for developing design strategies and choosing the best moving technique given specific requirements.
