This contribution examines immaterial regeneration as a design practice that can reinvigorate marginal places through temporary, artistic, and participatory actions. Going beyond the idea of regeneration as an exclusively structural or functional intervention, the research proposes a transdisciplinary reading that intertwines design, public art and tactical urbanism. Starting from two case studies – Welcome to Paradise in Modica and Buonanotte Contemporanea in Abruzzo – the transformative potential of ephemeral installations and aesthetic devices in reconfiguring the urban imagination and social reactivation is investigated. Through a qualitative and narrative approach, it highlights how the ephemeral can become a critical and relational tool, capable of generating value from disruption and typological transgression. Immaterial regeneration thus takes the form of a generative process based on new imaginaries, in which the project becomes a poetic act, a device for care and a tool for the collective construction of a sense of place.

Abstract
Immaterial regeneration thus takes the form of a generative process based on new imaginaries, in which the project becomes a poetic act, a device for care and a tool for the collective construction of a sense of place.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
