The article aims to delve into the process of Romanization in the territory of Tarquinia, with a specific focus on the emporic sanctuary of Gravisca. Following a meticulous examination of the restoration operations in the sacred area after the fire in 281 BC, the contribution zooms in on the offering system during the 3rd century BC, unveiling a noteworthy Roman presence in the ancient sacred spaces. This presence is substantiated by findings such as ceramics from the Atelier des Petites Estampilles, the dedication by T. Gavio, as well as numismatic artifacts and anatomical ex-votos. In the second part, attention shifts to the impact of Roman presence post the foundation of the Roman Colony of Gravisca in 181 BC, postulating the existence of internal harbor basins and proposing a reconstruction of the land reclamation and territorial division along the coastal area.
