After a picture about the latin translations of the so-called 'Hippocratic Latin Canon', this research shows an investigation of the whole latin translation of the first book of the greek Ps. Hippocratic work entitled De victus ratione, giving attention to the rhetoric aspects of the introduction, the ways of the translation technique, some medical speeches, the late latin grammar of the text and, first of all, the constitutio textus of this latin version and its relationship with the greek text.
