The paper illustrates Mathematics&Real life (M&R), a national project promoted (in 2005) by the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of the University of Perugia in collaboration with Centro PRISTEM of Bocconi University, with the purpose of stimulating a deep didactic innovation. M&R is based on the previous experience of the Project Innovamatica (Innovation & Mathematics) of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics of the University of Perugia, which has promoted since 1994 a strict interaction between mathematics and real world as a central theme in mathematical education. Since 1994 Innovamatica’s activities involved more than 6.000 students with the active participation of their teachers (more than 100) interested to innovative teaching methodologies. Our experience pointed out that connecting mathematical education with real life experience - challenges students interest - encourages an active and responsible participation - optimizes an experimental attitude towards Mathematics - makes students aware of the potentiality of mathematic language - enables to appreciate their own knowledge and skills. M&R’s key word is: education to mathematical modelling. The central point of the proposal is a dynamic interaction between the real world and the mathematic world. The project do agree with PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment - promoted by OCSE) report themes. Main M&R activities: - didactic Labs hold in different schools at a national level - courses addressed to teachers and tutors in order to project the didactic Labs - annual meeting with the active participation of students and their tutors - periodical supervising process of the learning activity - final test carried out, contemporaneously in all schools

Abstract
Main M&R activities: - didactic Labs hold in different schools at a national level - courses addressed to teachers and tutors in order to project the didactic Labs - annual meeting with the active participation of students and their tutors - periodical supervising process of the learning activity - final test carried out, contemporaneously in all schoolsI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
