Abstract
Block toppling failure of fractured rock slopes is simulated by means of physical modelling. The investigation is conducted at 1g level by using the technique of the reclining table. The experiments are organized and interpreted according to the principles of dimensional analysis. Several models are tested and experimental findings are used to validate theoretical solutions based on the limit equilibrium method. The analytical formulations are rewritten in non-dimensional form and stability calculations are performed accordingly for each set of similar models.File in questo prodotto:
