This research project starts from L. Zurli‟s „lucky‟ discoveries of unpublished studies and philological notes by scholars of the XVII and XVIII cent. in the margins of some important apographa of the codex Parisinus Latinus 10318, that transmits (along with other manuscripts) one of the most remarkable epigrammatic anthologies of the late-ancient age: the so-called „Anthologia Salmasiana‟. Thanks to this discovery, we can point out to the scientific community the apographs by N. Heinsius, Fr. Iuretus, G. Cuperus, M. Gudius. Another new, exegetic contribution to the Latin Anthology comes from the conspicuous collection of letters of Cuperus (Royal Library of Holland) and from the exegetic contributions by Dorvillius, got from the numerous volumes of his „Miscellaneae observationes‟ (1744), gained by the Bodleian Library of London. Not only do we aim at publishing this conspicuous exegetic material, but also at using it for some critical editions and commentaries of the poems of Latin Anthology mostly involved by the philological notes of the quoted scholars: in particular, the Vergilian centos of the Latin Anthology and theepigrammatic sylloge by Luxorius. As to the first goal, we will also provide a papery and an online publication of the materials to be acquired. In particular, it is our wish to publish an online annotated bibliography, to be consulted from an online critical edition of the Latin Anthology (already pre-arranged in the “Musisque deoque” homepage: see www.mqdq.it) and managed with a new software, prepared already by a Belgian researcher, who provided us with it. Within this bibliography, the philological studies of the XVII-XVIII cent., still unpublished, will be a special section.
