Prostaglandins (PG) F2α and E2 decrease noticeably at low concentration the N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase (NAGase) acti vity of rat brain slices in vitro, whereas at higher concentration the effect is reversed. 1-Methyl-3-isobutyl-xantine and ATP potentiate the effect of PGF2α and PGE2. The dibutyryl analogs of cyclic 3′, 5′-adenosine monophosphate and cyclic 3′, 5′-guanosine monophosphate affect the NAGase activity, depending on their concentration. The data suggest that the effects exerted by PGF2α and PGE2 on rat brain NAGase acti vity might be mediated by cyclic 3′, 5′-adenosine monophosphate.

Abstract
The data suggest that the effects exerted by PGF2α and PGE2 on rat brain NAGase acti vity might be mediated by cyclic 3′, 5′-adenosine monophosphate.File in questo prodotto:
