Phonon dispersion relations in KBr and KBr:OH have been measured at 26 K on the PRISMA spectrometer (ISIS facility, UK). The anomalous behaviour found for the LA [0 zeta 0] branch in KBr:OH can be interpreted as a coupled phonon-impurity mode. the OH internal mode having frequency near 7 meV and E(g) symmetry.

Abstract
