The efficacy of Apramycin given orally at dose levels of 225, 150, and 75 mg/l for five days to chicks experimentally infected with Salmonella pullorum has been evaluated. The results show that this drug when utilised at the dose level of 225 mg/l for five days, totally suppresses mortality and significantly reduces salmonella excretion in comparison with non-treated chicks.
