Comparative pathogenicity of four IBDV field isolates. In order to evaluate possible changes in pathogenicity clinical, anatomical, histological and serological investigations were performed in 21 day old SPF chickens intraocularly infected with four different viruses isolated from field outbreaks. Two IBDV isolated caused a death of a part of chickens between 3 and 4 days p.i., while the remaining produced only depression. Anatomical and histopathological changes of various degree were often observed in the bursa of Fabricius and occasionally in the lymphatic organs of chickens naturally dead or killed at 7 days p.i.

Abstract
Comparative pathogenicity of four IBDV field isolates. In order to evaluate possible changes in pathogenicity clinical, anatomical, histological and serological investigations were performed in 21 day old SPF chickens intraocularly infected with four different viruses isolated from field outbreaks. Two IBDV isolated caused a death of a part of chickens between 3 and 4 days p.i., while the remaining produced only depression. Anatomical and histopathological changes of various degree were often observed in the bursa of Fabricius and occasionally in the lymphatic organs of chickens naturally dead or killed at 7 days p.i.File in questo prodotto:
