This survey analyses the direct selling strategies in horticultural organic farming. The selection of 10 case studies in Central Italy has allowed to collect the economic and technical data of the whole farm activities. The results show that performances are higher influenced by the adoption of different kind of short chain strategies rather than by the optimization of the production process.

Abstract

This survey analyses the direct selling strategies in horticultural organic farming.
