The purpose of this paper is to obtain a theoretical estimate of the effect of a nonlinear perturbation on the solution of a boundary value problem for quasilinear hyperbolic systems in bicharacteristic canonical form with the same boundary data which L. Cesari introduced [Ann. Scuola Norm. Sup. Pisa (4) 1 (1974), 311–358]. The estimate is given by the difference between the solutions of the linear and perturbed systems.
