Outbreak of inclusion body hepatitis (IBH) in pigeon. A natura episode of disease characterized clinicalli by depression and at times by geen lose diarrhoea has been described in a meat pigeon flock. At necroscopy the birds, naturally dead, showed swollen liver with yellowish speklings and hemorrhages on its surface. Histological examination showed basophilic and/or eosinophilic inclusion bodies in the nuclei of hepatocytes. Nuclear basophilic inclusions were also observed in the epithelial cells of the uriniferous tubules. Electron microscopic examination revealed the presence of adenovirus-like particles in the liver of affected pigeons.l
