The study of the archaeological material from the sanctuaries of the Greek emporion in Gravisca has confirmed that the dedication of gifts to the deities honored obeyed to selective criteria. The best evidence for this specialization has surfaced in the northern sanctuary, probably dedicated to Cavatha and Suri, which shows peculiarites not only for its topographical, architectural and monumental features, but, mostly, for its religious and cultic aspects. A good example of such specilization is the offering of the spearhead, typical for the god Suri, a male god with Apollinean traits, worshipped also in the South Area of the sanctuary at Pyrgi with such cultual characteristics, that allow a direct comparison with the gods of the Belvedere temple at Orvieto or of the Tarentum in Rome.

Abstract
The study of the archaeological material from the sanctuaries of the Greek emporion in Gravisca has confirmed that the dedication of gifts to the deities honored obeyed to selective criteria. The best evidence for this specialization has surfaced in the northern sanctuary, probably dedicated to Cavatha and Suri, which shows peculiarites not only for its topographical, architectural and monumental features, but, mostly, for its religious and cultic aspects. A good example of such specilization is the offering of the spearhead, typical for the god Suri, a male god with Apollinean traits, worshipped also in the South Area of the sanctuary at Pyrgi with such cultual characteristics, that allow a direct comparison with the gods of the Belvedere temple at Orvieto or of the Tarentum in Rome.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
