Rice is one of the three major cereals harvested by man. Ferulic acid is easily prepared in large quantities from rice bran pitch. In the cosmetic field, ferulic acid is employed as UV filter, antioxidant and radical scavenging agent. This study describes the cosmetic application of the ferulic acid-cyclodextrin complex.
