Abstract

The analysis of uncertainty measurements performed by means of a crossed hotwire sensor was performed. The analysis is applied to experimental data describing the rotating stall of an axial flow compressor. The error sources taken into account are the accuracy of the pressure measurement, the temperature fluctuation, the uncertainties in the calibration coefficients and the error arising from the accuracy of the data acquisition system and of the data processing method. The outcome of the work is an error band delimiting the boundaries of the results of the measurements performed.
