In this work a theoretical and experimental investigation about bond between reinforcing steel and Recycled Aggregate Concrete (RAC) is presented. Unlike compressive strength, already well investigated, the bond between RAC and steel rebars is a topic not so exhaustively studied by researchers, although it is one of the fundamental factors affecting mechanical behaviour of reinforced concrete structures. Five mix designs, with different percentage of recycled coarse aggregates have been investigated. The comparison between analytical results and experimental evidence indicates that the calculation formulas used for normal concrete can be generally applied to RAC.

Abstract
In this work a theoretical and experimental investigation about bond between reinforcing steel and Recycled Aggregate Concrete (RAC) is presented. Unlike compressive strength, already well investigated, the bond between RAC and steel rebars is a topic not so exhaustively studied by researchers, although it is one of the fundamental factors affecting mechanical behaviour of reinforced concrete structures. Five mix designs, with different percentage of recycled coarse aggregates have been investigated. The comparison between analytical results and experimental evidence indicates that the calculation formulas used for normal concrete can be generally applied to RAC.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
