WordNet is the large electronic lexical database developed by G.A. Miller. In this paper the authors address the issue of the encoding of information on metaphors in a WordNet-like database, i.e. the Italian wordnet in EuroWordNet. A central issue is that of how to encode information on the systematic nature of conceptual metaphor.
