Abstract The paper attempts to investigate the relationship between the government of a territory (as Regions or State) and the small and medium enterprises that are settled in the same territory. We introduced the example of the Veneto Region, located in the North-East of Italy as a case of good management of these relationships and we shows some data of the SMEs of the selected area, that are often linked in different clusters of performance according to the different industrial production.
