Simultaneous optical observations of the blazar S5 0716+714 were performed in the period October 1996 - March 1997 with several telescopes in the standard BVRI Johnson-Cousins bands and with the 800, 860, and 990 nm filters of the Arizona system. The source was also observed simultaneously with the X-ray Beppo-SAX pointing in November 1996. Intranight flux changes with a typical amplitude of 0.1 mag have been repeatedly detected.

Abstract
Simultaneous optical observations of the blazar S5 0716+714 were performed in the period October 1996 - March 1997 with several telescopes in the standard BVRI Johnson-Cousins bands and with the 800, 860, and 990 nm filters of the Arizona system. The source was also observed simultaneously with the X-ray Beppo-SAX pointing in November 1996. Intranight flux changes with a typical amplitude of 0.1 mag have been repeatedly detected.File in questo prodotto:
