The salutary effects of thermal waters are known from centuries and the treatment with sulphureous thermal waterare recommended for various chronic pathologies and for acute recurrinaffective disorders. However, frequently, the positive effects of therapy are evaluated subjectively by the registration of improvements of clinical symptoms. In this paper are considered objective parameters to appreciate the curative potentialities of sulphureous water called “Aquaria Thermae” by means of the evaluation of antioxidative and antiinflammatory power on epithelial cellular lines using the determination of the ROS and RNS release besides that specific cytokines.
