The contribution proposes to reflect on the special educational needs. In fact, if the construct should be overcome in favour of the recognition of the diversity and differences of each, the everyday life of school is made up of educational practices that confront this theme. The school world in recent years has not always grasped the value of this proposal and has easily fallen into drifts of categorization and simplification. To avoid that in this present time the educational world fails to build inclusive horizons and designs, it is proposed to read the concept of need in a new way and to invest in initial and continuing training in order to promote the building of a new culture of needs.
