Sismabonus: Miglioramento delle classi di rischio mediante interventi limitati alle superfici murarie esterne

The article shows the results of structural analysis carried out on some buildings, for which, after evaluating the risk class in the current conditions, it was hypothesized, as an intervention strategy, that of reinforcing only the external perimeter surfaces (to allow the permanence of the occupants inside their homes) by recalculating the new risk classes for each building. The buildings that have been considered have quite different geometric and typological characteristics and, even with the obvious considerations related to the limited number of them, have provided some indications on the geometric and material characteristics of a masonry building that can (hopefully) lead to result of an improvement in the risk classes with interventions concerning only the perimeter walls. Particular attention was given to the masonry quality, distinguishing the cases in which an intervention such as the one in question can be hypothesized, from the cases in which this hypothesis must be discarded.
