We present here a direct measurement of the anisotropy of the angular distribution of products in the double photoionization of the linear molecule N2O, obtained by coupling an ion imaging technique with photoelectron-ion-ion coincidence. This experiment has been performed at the ELETTRA Synchrotron Light Laboratory (Trieste, Italy) using the ARPES end station of the Gasphase Beamline. Such an experimental method allowed us to obtain, for each one of the two main dissociative channels and, as a function of the photon energy, not only the angular distribution of the ionic fragments, which has been found to exhibit a rather large anisotropy, but also their final kinetic energy distribution. The results that we present here provide relevant information about the dynamics of the dissociative double photoionization of this prototypical molecule.
