This paper provides a comprehensive overview of Antonio Pieretti’s reception of Heidegger’s thought on the theme of the sacred. More specifically, it examines the tension that Pieretti’s interpretation brings to light between the metaphysical and the religious dimensions, while simultaneously underscoring both the distance and the proximity between these two themes within Heidegger’s thought. Pieretti’s reading of the Heideggerian notion of the sacred thus emerges as an opportunity to re-evaluate—rather than to marginalize—the philosophical and metaphysical dimension in its proper specificity, beyond contemporary anti-metaphysical tendencies that reduce thinking to a mere linguistic game incapable of apprehending reality and its truth.

Abstract
This paper provides a comprehensive overview of Antonio Pieretti’s reception of Heidegger’s thought on the theme of the sacred. More specifically, it examines the tension that Pieretti’s interpretation brings to light between the metaphysical and the religious dimensions, while simultaneously underscoring both the distance and the proximity between these two themes within Heidegger’s thought. Pieretti’s reading of the Heideggerian notion of the sacred thus emerges as an opportunity to re-evaluate—rather than to marginalize—the philosophical and metaphysical dimension in its proper specificity, beyond contemporary anti-metaphysical tendencies that reduce thinking to a mere linguistic game incapable of apprehending reality and its truth.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
