Abstract
Ulcerative gastric diseases are common in italian population and require a careful diagnostic procedure in order precisely differentiate benign and malignant ulcers, which are macroscopically similar. There is general consensu today that malignant and benign peptic ulcers of the stomach appear similar but have different behaviour since their onset, being uncommon the benign to malignant evolution. A retrospective study was performed in 4563 people referred to our Department for upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Ulcerative gastric disease were diagnosed in 302 people and were studied for what concerns biological and pathological parameters; the data collected were examined in order to obtain a statistical assessmentI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
