Samples of beef hamburgers, meat patties (beef patties and beef/pork patties) and raw pork sausages were analyzed for the presence of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Salmonella spp. The antibiotic-resistance of the Staphylococcus spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus spp. and Salmonella spp. isolated was also tested. Staphylococcus aureus was isolated in 21.1% of the hamburgers and meat patties and 47,1% of the sausages sampled. Escherichia coli was detected in 88.9% of the hamburgers and meat patties and 78.3% of sausages. Salmonella typhimurium and Salmonella rissen were detected in two sausages samples. No Enterococcus spp. vancomycin resistant strains were detected and all the Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus spp. strains tested proved non-resistant to vancomycin and meticillin.

Abstract
No Enterococcus spp. vancomycin resistant strains were detected and all the Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus spp. strains tested proved non-resistant to vancomycin and meticillin.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
